Challenge

The complete renovation of the famous football and rugby stadium Stade Vélodrome in Marseille, home of Olympique de Marseille, was just finished. The stadium is now characterized by an impressive architecture and the new roof covering the 67,000 seats, including 6,000 business seats. Thus the stadium is part of the UEFA elite stadium project. Every match and every other event shall be high quality. Every seat shall provide an optimum view.

Solution

In order to improve visual comfort of everyone in the stadium, two 81 m² SO [20] NT LED video displays have been delivered and installed by S[quadrat] GmbH. These two giant screens are fixed under the roof by a complex construction. They fulfill the complete renewal of the whole audio-video installation managed by SONY Professional Solution Europe.

Both displays are controlled by S[quadrat]’s SX [ScoreboardTV] content management system in French specifically for football games.
